At Joy Medical Centre, we are more than just a healthcare facility – we are a sanctuary of hope and healing for the Mpigi District community. Founded with a mission to provide accessible and compassionate medical care, we strive to address the pressing healthcare challenges faced by vulnerable families, especially mothers and children.
The story of Joy Medical Centre is deeply personal. Our proprietor, Mr. Matovu Ssendaji Joseph, was profoundly moved by the alarming cases of HIV/AIDS and the limited access to medical services in Mpigi District. Witnessing firsthand the struggles of families affected by preventable illnesses and the lack of adequate healthcare facilities, he was inspired to create a center that could serve as a lifeline for the community.
From these humble beginnings, Joy Medical Centre has grown into a beacon of hope, offering critical services like maternal and child healthcare, HIV/AIDS treatment, and preventive health education. However, our mission is far from complete. To meet the growing needs of the community, we are seeking funding to construct a state-of-the-art hospital that will further ease access to essential healthcare services. Additionally, we plan to establish an orphanage to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children who have lost their parents, particularly due to HIV/AIDS.
Our approach is rooted in compassion, service, and the belief that every individual deserves quality medical care, regardless of their circumstances. At Joy Medical Centre, we don’t just treat illnesses – we uplift lives, strengthen families, and empower the community to create a healthier future for all.
